Frågan om radarvarnare är lagliga kan inte besvaras på ett enhetligt sätt i Europa. Det finns länder där det är lagligt att använda radarvarnare, medan det i andra EU-länder endast är förbjudet att använda störsändare. I andra länder tillåts endast radarvarnare som rapporterar fasta fartkameror via GPS, men inte radarmottagare.
