La domanda se i rilevatori di autovelox siano legali non può avere una risposta uniforme in Europa. Ci sono Paesi in cui l’uso dei rilevatori radar è legale, mentre in altri Paesi dell’UE è vietato solo l’uso dei jammer. In altri Paesi sono consentiti solo i rilevatori di autovelox che segnalano gli autovelox fissi tramite GPS, ma non i ricevitori di autovelox.
