Easy setup – perfect for non pro users – and very clever firmware management options to keep the device legal. The unit is normally delivered without radar firmware – important for the most EU countries – Firmware and POI database Update via USB stick is very easy even for mac users.

A MUST HAVE!!
This radar detector save me couple of time going to work and going to different places.
What i like bout this P1 is that it has good range. It give me a decent amount of time to slow down before the other radars get you.
Just the other day. Cop measured at speed limit and was hiding around the corner. Didnt see what is at the corner. P1 alerted me like 5-10 sec ahead of time. Had a lot of time to slow down.
Don’t buy if you want to speed. I bought it because I want to be alert and know whats around me n keep me awake while driving.
Other then that i gotta say it definitely worth the money.

Ich habe das Gerät zum Vergleich nun ca. 3 Monate – Hier mein Erfahrungsbericht und Vergleich mit meinem V1 nach ca. 3tsd km:
+ Extra Radar Firmware ist praktisch und ist in Europa besonders nützlich – da man sie auf Reisen einfach entfernen kann, falls Radarwarner verboten
+ Updates gehen einfach und schnell (Datei per USB Stick laden) und Einstellungen auch für Anfänger unkompliziert
Wichtig: Die Radar Firmware muss installiert werden! Sonst kann wirklich nur die Beschleunigung und Geschwindigkeit gemessen werden.
+ Hervorragend: K-Band Radar Leistung und Filter (in Frankreich extrem hilfreich!) – Kein Vergleich zum Valentine 1
+ P1 erkennt auch das neueste Multaradar bzw. Bord Radar in Frankreich sehr gut (Schweiz+Frankreich: gemessene Reichweite zwischen 200-700m!!) – Mit einigen Fehlalarmen ist aber zu rechnen
– Laser: V1 ist da manchmal zwar teils besser – dafür hatte Navty keinen einzigen Fehlalarm – zum Beispiel Österreich Strecke Wien Villach hatte P1 Laser Radarfallen alle angezeigt ohne einen Fehlalarm.. V1 hatte hier ebenfalls alles angezeigt aber hatte auch viele falsche Alarme
+ P1 meldet Gefahrenstellen wie feste Blitzer, Ampelblitzer und Section Control – und wahlweise auch häufige Gefahren + Messstellen..und speichert eigene Gefahrenstellen und sperrt Fehlalarme per GPS Lockout. Das kann der V1 auch in der neuesten Generation aufgrund des fehlenden GPS leider immer noch nicht.
Ich habe meinen alten V1 (als Teilzahlung vom Radar shop akzeptiert) gerne eingetauscht. Wirklich toller Service! Danke
